The broad Villages of CreekSide trail system features wildlife, forest, Mayhew Creek and wetlands. It connects at two main locations for easy access to the Mayhew Creek Park. The trail also links with the new Sauk Rapids High School. The trail will be the hub for the City of Sauk Rapids’ future trail system.
The meandering trail system is an integral part of coving which encourages neighborhood interaction and safety. Trails are 14 feet from the street to promote safety. The planner also eliminated four-way stops within the community.
As an extension of the Mayhew Creek Trail System, homeowners can access walking, biking, parks and local schools without having to drive.
